Wow! What an incredibly beautiful and heartwrenching swansong from one of my all time favourite directors. It's slow moving at times, but the emotional pay-off is more than worth it. Also, the level of animation is ridiculous. Attention to detail in every frame. I don't know yet where this one ranks among Miyazaki's other films, but it's certailnly one of his best. 9/10.

I didn't care much for the story, but it did get better as it went along. The animation and score are great though.
