Thanks! I noticed that you have Doctor Zhivago as your favourite film, yet I haven't seen it. Would I like it?

I think you will because you appreciated 'Lawrence of Arabia". Zhivago is a very realistic epic about personal lives shaken up by the Russian Revolution. The cinematography and musical score is fantastic. I was lost in a movie for three hours.

Will most definitely watch it! I think you should watch Seven Samurai and the rest of Akira Kurosawa's works. They hold up really well to this day.

You have a great top 10. Although I have yet to see American Beauty or Zhivago, I greatly appreciate the other eight. Pulp, 2001, No Country, Cuckoo's Nest, and Clockwork stand out the most.

How great is American Beauty? I've heard a lot of mixed things about it but I'm still thinking about giving it a watch. I've read online that the writer of it wrote one of my all time favorite TV shows called Six Feet Under, (not sure if you've seen it or not), so I've been interested in it for quite some time.

I think it was an American Masterpiece and I hardly ever give films such an acclamation. It was a satirical bullseye
stab on suburban angst.

I hope that Chastain, Stewart or Coleman can win this years best actress Oscar. Please no Haim, Kidman or Gaga who are in overrated films that are not Oscar worthy either.

I am really excited about this years Oscars and I am going to guess who will win and who I want to win. My favourite film of the year is The Power of the Dog. It should win and will win the Oscar for best picture. The best actor will probably go to Will Smith for King Richard. I would choose Benedict Cumberbatch for Power of the Dog. Andrew Garfield is a possible surprise here and he would deserve it as well. I think Jessica Chastain or Kristen Stewart will win best actress and I would vote for Chastain but Stewart is just as deserving. Best supporting actor will be Kodi McPhee for TPOTD but Troy Koster from Coda is on his tail. I prefer Kodi but Troy was worthy. Debois will win the sole Oscar for WSS but I would vote for Kristen Dust who still.might pull off a win if POTD has a great night.
