"Coco" is the better film while "Book of Life" is the better movie. Depends whether you want substance or fun.

coco's not only the far better film, but also the far better movie, for me at least

I liked coco better, although Book of Life had better songs

Coco had just a little more there than Book of Life. It hits you a little harder at the end of the film which will give it more sticking power long term.
