The Lady Eve vs. The Devil and Miss Jones

How I miss the classic screwball comedies and the lovely actresses-comediennes who peopled them. Just look at these two movies: Jean Arthur and Barbara Stanwyck. Both could be manic, tender, conniving, forthright, steely, volatile, low, cultivated ... you name it. In the current matchup, The Lady Eve is the better movie (plus, Arthur isn't really the star of The Devil and Miss Jones, despite getting top billing) but if this was ActressChart instead of FlickChart, this would be a really tough decision. Since it isn't, and since there isn't much analyzing to be done in order to make a decision, I'm just grinning from ear to ear.
