Oooooh. Old-school vs. New-school. Yes, Madam is pure 80's Hong Kong. Cheese, bad haircuts, and, of course, people getting the shit kicked out of them. It's corny as all hell and it doesn't really pick up until its finale, but that finale is one of the all-time greats. SPL's not perfect, but what it does, it does well. Donnie/Wu Jing was 3 minutes of onscreen Heaven. They looked like they were actually trying to hurt each other! Sweet Jeebus, what a fight! The speed and the ferocity of that fight added to the fact that SPL holds its shit together a lot better than Yes, Madam does means a win for Yip and Donnie.
