To Catch a Thief is said to be comparable to North by Northwest in its wit and that could not be further from the truth. North by Northwest cemented it atop my list of Hitchcock films due in large part to its wit while To Catch a Thief cemented itself at the bottom of my list due to its wit working as rarely as the story itself.

To Catch a Thief is pretty to look at, but its story is only moderately entertaining. North by Northwest beats it handily.

I loved To Catch a Thief, but it is currently towards the bottom of my Hitchcock's rankings. North by Northwest on the other hand is my second favorite Hitchcock film.

To Catch a Thief is a very pretty movie, with Technicolor being wonderfully exploited. But it is inferior to North by Northwest in every way except visually.

Love Catch a Thief its smart and the cat and mouse romantic tris is great started the genre of Romdramedy its Beautiful and fun, but northwests Story action settings chase and Grants acting was better it a classic masterpiece Northwest is King

Cary Grant is just so damn superb!

Charyou_Tree said it perfectly. I couldn't say it better myself.

To Catch a Thief is nothing compared to North by Northwest and that's a fact

Both juicy but To Catch a Thief seems to have more charm.
