Earth probably had the better effects but everything else was just ho-hum.
Was reffering to Earth vs the Flying Saucers. What a stinker that was.
While the ending of the original "Day" is excellent, there's a lot of boring going there as well. With "Flying Saucers", I have much more fun and can rewatch more often.

I found Earth Stood Still more interesting and both set and characters more appealing but somehow flying saucers was more entertaining but as usually the thinking mans movie is better than pure action-so Earth Stood Still wins

Agree that Stood Still is better overall film, but found Earth vs. is kinda like watching Mars Attacks played straight...pretty fun! Both are quintessential 50s drive-in flying saucer movies that are still fun to watch for b movie fans, sci-fi bluffs, or people who like discovering old movies. I've only seen Stood Still in b&w and can only imagine it as such...Earth vs. was better in color.
