Few cities have inspired such wonder and love from me as these two have. I think I must choose the emotional resonance of Metropolis over the hypnotic style of Dark City.

Wouldn't want to live in either city. But on a more serious note I think Dark City is a bit better than Fritz Lang's vision of the future. Just a bit though.

I enjoy Watching Dark City more often and thats why it wins even though Metropolis is the greatest film from the 1920s!
