Both superhero movies are usually inclined. Alex Kurtzman did a good job on writing the script with Roberto Orci, who previously wrote Star Trek (2009), Transformers (2007), and The Island (2005). They also wrote the script with co-writers Jeff Pinkner who wrote Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) and its sequel Jumanji: The Next Level (2019) with Scott Rosenberg (Con Air, 1997) and James Vanderbilt, the guy who wrote White House Down, The Amazing Spider-Man (2012), and Zodiac (2007). Alex Kurtzman was originally scheduled to direct Venom, but became a busy man. Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland, Gangster Squad) directed it because of the absence of Spider-Man.

Two movies so bad that they actually hurt my balls watching them.

Venom has the restaurant scene.

the amazing spider-man 2 It wasn't at all up to the level of the previous film but it is much better than Venom because the writing of Venom is much worse
