Sparrow vs. The Big Heat

Johnnie To showdown. Gotta go with Sparrow. The Big Heat is good gory fun, but it’s also got a pocketful of directors, so you get what feels like journeyman (journeymen?) project. It’s a nice bit of pulp, but it can’t touch Sparrow’s breezy sense of fun or its emulation of the French stuff.
