Surprisingly decent movies based on genuinely amusing books. I'm glad the main character isn't so much of a jerk in the sequel.

Wow. Both of these movies were pretty dreadful, but I think that DOAXWK: 2 was worse

These two movies are genuinely some of the worst movies I've ever seen. I realize I'm not the type of person that these films are aimed at -- I intensely dislike the books -- but the movies, in my opinion, are really hard to sit through. I'm not exactly sure which one I dislike more, but, for now, I guess I'm going to give this to Rodrick Rules. They both suffer from many of the same flaws, but I think the original is trying harder to be thoughtful and deliver a message, which adds a whole layer of heavy-handedness and boredom. Hmph, this makes me mad >:(
