The Other Guys vs. Morning Glory

The Other Guys was hilarous. Not as good as Anchorman and Stepbrothers tho. Harrison Ford was so boring in Morning Glory. He was the only reason I was looking forward to the movie.

The Other Guys was not a very funny movie. Ferrell has reached the point where he has just become annoying and one note and in need of shaking up his career or risk being forgotten. Wahlberg did his best, and had some good moments but is just not quite at the point where he can make comedy work. Morning Glory was definitely no amazing achievement either, but had a warm and fun tone with nice performances from vets Keaton and Ford.

Pish Tosh. Ferrell has never been at any place outside of the point. He's an annoying and unfunny fuck of man. Morning Glory is the better film thanks, in no small part, to Harrison Ford. I was also surprised by the remarkably well contoured ass that's attached to the peppy Rachel McAdams. I like her (most of the time), and baby got back too.

I agree with casinoiscool. Me and the rest of my school like quote The Other Guys 24/7. It's not better than Anchorman but it might just slip by as a tie between this and SB.

The Other Guys was a miserably poor comedy from Will Ferrell compared to his other stuff - but Morning Glory was insubstantial, glitzy trash. An impossibly beautiful young woman who is also intelligent, passionate, dedicated, funny, talented and quirky in a cute kind of way moves to the big city and wins everyone over by her being so impossibly beautiful as well as intelligent, passionate, dedicated, funny, talented and quirky in a cute kind of way. I don't think 30 seconds of time passed without them playing some music to tell you what you should be feeling right now. It was film making by numbers - a ghastly attempt to turn The Devil Wears Prada into a money-making formula. I'd rather watch The Other Guys.
