Just moments ago, I faced a decision between "Citizen Kane" & "Vertigo", which I felt was unnecessarily cruel. And just moments before that, I had to vote between "Back to the Future"

I love 2001, but Forrest Gump wins, because of the heart.

I sort of wish that Kubrick would have kept 2001 completely without dialogue; the final product would have been mesmerizing. Even with the dialogue the film is still pretty damn spectacular. 2001.
I'll go with Forrest....and not a close one for me....

Gump in a landslide.
Forrest Gump by a landslide even if the quality of the film decreases after every repeat viewing. I find 2001....boring!

I have a lot of respect for 2001 for its cinenamatic achievements but I flat out love Gump more.

2001 all day for me.
Forrest Gump is a true thrill ride and watching it is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get. Lt. Dan, open the pod bay doors for the winner of this, Forrest Gump.

It's gonna be hard for me to ever vote against "2001." I'm just sayin'...
Forrest Gump is inspirational but it doesn't win against 2001 in anyway!

2001 is the better movie but it is sometimes good or sometimes boring when I watch it. Forrest is more consistent for me.

2001 has a much better ending, and the scene right before the intermission is mesmerizing.
