Tough. I'm not one of those who believes that Godfather Pt II is as good or better than Pt I, but it's still among the best American movies ever made. Tokyo Story is not my favorite Japanese movie -- it's not even my favorite Ozu movie -- but I do think it has a slight edge here. But it's tough.
