Watchmen at least brought something visually spectacular and unusual to the table. Drag Me to Hell was a lot more simplistic, and Sam Raimi didn't really pull anything new from his bag of tricks that I haven't already seen in The Evil Dead series (or other horror flicks). Watchmen could've been better on a dramatic level, but it was fresher and more exciting than Drag Me to Hell.

I loved the Watchmen; I rarely have seen a film that had a greater visual punch. Even if the ending was weak, I still found the entire idea of the Dr. Manhattan character fascinating, and the worlds which he opens up were, quite simply, breathtaking. Drag Me to Hell was kinda fun, but looking back on it, it was really stupid. Give me the Watchmen any day.
