Both are such great films from Japanese cinema. Harakiri is an endlessly thought-provoking movie that unsettled me to my core. High and Low has such great direction and so many thrills in a police procedural story. I would rather watch High and Low more often, but Harakiri is not to be ignored.

High and low was fantastic but for me it’s not even close. Harakiri it is.
