The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance vs. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Well, there's nothing necessarily wrong with The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (aside from the fact that both John Wayne and James Stewart were way too old for their roles), but there are MANY westerns that are far superior to The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance is a great film, its just nothing close to The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

Liberty Valance is great, but Leone is the master of westerns. What that means is that his westerns don't lose often to other westerns. This is no exception.

Two of my fav westerns love both but Good Bad and Ugly wins by a notch.

Liberty Valance is a fine traditional american western. That being said, I’ll have the spaghetti please!

I love Liberty Valance, but GBU is better than any JW movie...

Liberty Valance is superb cinema. Liberty Valance getting shut out here is all kinds of wrong.

Why is The Good, The Bad and The Ugly the clear winner? Because of the scope, the characters, the way they come together, the score and the excitement!
