The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance vs. Casablanca

Ridiculously unfair! Two of my favorites, and two of cinema's greatest. "Liberty Valance" greatly improved upon the short story source material, but "Casablanca" is truly iconic. Could go either way, depending on the day.

Both really great movies. I don't love Casablanca as much as most people but it really is filled with classic scenes and excellent acting. However, I prefer The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance because of its sheer entertainment value, excellent acting from Stewart and Wayne. The best I've seen from John Ford.

Two classic, one winner: Casablanca.

I'd have to rewatch TMWSLV to see how well it holds up against Casablanca, which has grown on me exponentially with every viewing I've given it.
