This is a tough one!

This is, indeed, a tough one. Toy Story is a milestone in CGI, created new animated icons in Woody and Buzz, and is incredibly funny. The Thing is so wonderfully cold, well-paced and scary. For me it's one of the scariest films, not just because of the jumps and thing-horror, but because of the nature of The Thing. It's rare to get a truly original monster these days, but The Thing is one. I'm taking The Thing over Toy Story.

No doubt that they're both great movies, but Toy Story is the winner for me.
