Both among the disappointments of 2016. 2.5 / 5 meh, okay, watchable films. Don't Breathe should have ended 15 minutes earlier than it actually ended. Miss Peregrine used too much shitty CGI. I love Eva Green too much, tho.

Don't Breathe tries to emulate the tension of Panic Room without aspiring to its superior casting. Levy and Lang are fine, but the other two guys are not engaging, which makes the first half of the film boring. As for Peregrine, I don't think anyone would have bothered to go see it - I know I wouldn't have - were it not for Green.
