Two stunningly beautiful films from the greatest director of animated features ever. When it comes down to it Castle in the Sky and Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind share some similar themes but the presentation in Nausicaa has always just blown me away.

At least Castle in the Sky had a really fun first and second act. Sure it falls apart at the end (in more ways than one), but on a whole it's a lot better than Nausicaa. I was really bored with that movie. None of the characters are interesting enough.

I'd watched Castle in the Sky today and it was absolutely brilliant. The score was beautiful as ever. The action and humor was perfectly balanced. The dubbing was very good and the animation was fabulous.
Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind is kind of overrated as I didn't see it as better than CITS. It's good though.
Castle in the Sky is much more entertaining and is better in my opinon

Castle in the Sky is my favourite Miyazaki film so that wins. Although, I still love Nausicaa a lot.

Castle in the sky's stunning beauty can't be matched by any other Miyazaki film, apart from maybe Spirited Away.
I don't love either....fate decides....

I thought both were pretty good. I enjoyed Castle in the Sky slightly more.
