Picking Inglourious Basterds over Inception because I found Inception to be an endurance test of emptiness, knowing cleverness that nevertheless isn't clever, and a soundtrack that could used in the interrogation of prisoners. Inglourious Basterds isn't greater than the sum of its parts, but some of its parts are very good.

I'm choosing Inception because I loved every second of it.

The generation these days doesn't like to think much when going to the theater to watch a film. I do as it seems to be more of an exercise in which you have to balance on an exercise ball while juggling an axe and a knife with two hands and balancing a fish bowl on your head. It's quite a lot of work but in the end you feel more satisfied that you actually came out on top of the film instead of the film coming out on top of you. Inception was one of these films and I loved every single second of it.

This one is really cruel for me, but I think I must go with Inglorious Basterds.
I consume copious amounts of dialogue porn so it's not a hard choice for me. Inception's quite good though.
Inception for me, it doesn't feel as repetitive and Eli "Torture Porn king" Roth just seemed out of place.

This is not that difficult.

Both really great films which deserved the best picture win. Out of the two I have to go with Inception.

Inglourious Basterds wins this easily for the opening scene alone.

Inception wins it for the rotating hallway scene. Inception is one of the best thrillers I've ever seen.

Inglourious Basterds by a mile.

Basterds is #6, but it can't beat #1.

Basterds is just too good.
