Two VASTLY different World War II films. They are opposites in just so many ways. Casablanca is tender and passionate whereas Basterds is kinetic and exuberant. I'm immediately tempted to click on the timeless classic, but Basterds remains among my favorite films 3 years after I've seen it and Casablanca hasn't quite achieved that sticking power. Both are undoubted must-see films.

Casablanca makes my top 100 quite easily, but Inglourious Basterds cracks my top 10.
Basterds for me, but I love some Casablanca.

Casablanca is a classic that will be remembered while Inglourious Bastards is up their but not among them.
It could be age bias, but Casablanca bored me, but I do respect it's place in the history of film. This is a no-brainer for me, because Basterds stands tall at #1 on my list.

IB is overrated and boring at parts. Definetily Casablanca
