Full Metal Jacket has an incredible first half, but it always loses steam for me in the back half. Have to go with Jurassic Park for not letting up until the credits roll.

I gotta disagree with Wade92 on this one. While I absolutely adore Jurassic Park, Full Metal just resonated with me with the philosophical questions it brings, and the neutral take it has on war. It's funny, depressing, dark, introspective, vulgar, etc.
Two of the best with and edge to Jurassic Park.

Rewatched both, and I changed my mind. Jurassic Park is a way better movie
