Jamón, jamón is about Javier Bardem's private parts. He's really manly in the film, and even bullfights naked. I think there's some weird incestuous metaphor going on to. Amer is hyper-stylized beyond endurance. There were so many close-ups that I started to feel nauseous. I would almost call Amer experimental. Jamón, jamón is sort of funny, at least, and doesn't assault the viewer with a bunch of cinematographical trickery. I was very irritated most of the time with Amer.
