Z vs. M

Both are great movies . . . Peter Lorre is too creepy not to win!

I've gotta agree. Both are superb, but M wins here.

Both are masterpieces, but Z wins due its political realism, killer soundtrack and better thrills it has.

Alphabet battle GO! Z is an incredible thriller, but M is more universal, more primal, and more memorable.

Both are films that most haven't even heard of or seen. Both are must sees, especially M which is one of the most amazing films I have ever seen. The fact that it was made in 1931 only makes it more remarkable.

Both movies reward viewers with multiple rewatches, and I would recommend them both to anyone into crime thrillers. I gravitate more towards Z because of how taut the editing is and how timeless its political messages are, but the eerie and haunting M is no slouch at all.
