Hmm... self important cheap sentiment, or racist cheap sentiment? And they're both so long you can feel your life draining away. At least Magnolia is well shot.
These were both films that I admire but Magnolia is close to flawless.
What was the point of Magnolia? Obviously the green mile. Much more hard hitting. Magnolia's story is just this: People are sad and cry. Like an intersecting montage, which made it feel like some storylines were pointless. I'm not saying that Magnolia is bad at all. It's a great film. But this is just in comparison to The Green Mile which is my no.11
Yes Green Mile had heart and was very well acted shows both sides of humanity in race and family one of Stephen Kings best.
