The Remains of the Day vs. The Graduate

The Remains of the Day may be obscure, but it is fantastic. Both movies look at the frustration of individuals who are struggling to keep up with life's twist and turns, but Remains is more poignant.

Remains of the Day had a lot of great quotes and a great performance by Anthony Hopkins, but I felt like it was too long and not so engaging when it comes to that. No movie should feel long, no matter how lengthy it is, from one hour to four. If it feels long, it failed or it was intentionally done. I don't feel like it was intentionally done in Remains. The Graduate is a 60's classic. I'm still listening "Mrs. Robinson" to this day.
