Hidalgo vs. The Ghost and the Darkness

This is possibly my toughest choice yet. Both movies are awesome and I can't really decide which one is better. It might be Hidalgo because of Viggo Mortensen, the beautiful scenery and some epic moments; but The Ghost and the Darkness has some great moments as well, and is really thrilling overall. Well... I'll take Hidalgo for now, but this battle isn't over yet.

The Ghost and the Darkness, easily, because Hidalgo is at least twenty minutes too long, if for nothing else.

The Ghost and the Darkness is a good thriller, but it has one of the stupidest final lines ever. But these are pretty evenly matched. Both are entertaining and unique adventure movies, both purportedly based on true stories, though The Ghost and the Darkness probably has more veracity to it. I have more a history with The Ghost and the Darkness.
