As much as I love the LoTR triliogy, I couldnt make it all the way through the animated version, so awful.
Agreed. I never liked the animated LotR as a child (I actually fell asleep while watching it with my dad - twice), and even today, as a huge fan of Jackson's LotR trilogy, I can't describe the animated version by any different words than "boring", "ugly" and "dull". It's just incredibly slow-paced and badly drawn; and on top of that, it doesn't even have a proper ending.
