So I finally get Network and it's against Empire. There is no justice.

Network, easy...and I love Empire Strikes Back.

Network. Great vision on the media.

This isn't close...The Empire Strikes Back leaves Network in the dirt.

The Force is strong with one of these....

Empire is great, but I've gotta go with Network here.

Network by far- Sidney Lumet's best film and one of the greatest American films, period.

Disregard that. I didn't notice that I'd already commented on this matchup.

Network was certainly a great movie but it felt too over-the-top at times. Peter Finch was spectacular but was his performance better than Robert fucking De Niro's in Taxi Driver? I doubt it. It's amazing to see how nicely Network has aged. With politics and media playing an important part in our daily lives, its relevance is more today than ever before. Empire is amazing and definitely more rewatchable. It wins.

Irony of ironies, Network, a film all about true meaningful rebellion is losing to the multi-billion dollar, Disney owned, soap opera rebellion drama that keeps the masses happy & quiet. Howard Beale throw a fit. Im not going to take it any more indeed.

Network. I happen to prefer that type of film, plus it is in my top ten. The Star Wars trilogy never reached that level for me, though they are great.

Empire is miles ahead of Network.

Empire all the way.
