Toy Story wins. This one was tough. These are both debuts from great animators. They both have tightly wound scripts. Both have a great sense of adventure. To be honest, this is a tie. Toy Story wins because of nostalgia.

Wow, both these movies in their own company were released first, and were popular in their own country and own time, and wow this is tough, maybe I'll go with Nausicaa, but Toy Story is fun too.

The better company debut was was Ghibli's in my opinion.

I've only seen Nausicaa once, while I've loved You Story for decades. So I have to stick with it for now, but I have to say: a rewatch or two of Nausicaa could theoretically change my mind.

Toy Story wins this. Pixar vs studio Ghibli. Studio Ghibli is better but toy story takes this.
