Both were films I thought that deserved the grand prize in their respective years (of the nominees), but I suppose Pi is more cinematic.

Wolf is way better than Pi. IMO

Pi is more my kind of film, and I appreciated it much more on first viewing than Wolf. But Pi is also the kind of film which gets increasingly derided as time goes on, and I'm trying to stop that from rubbing off on me. Conversely, I actually have a more positive memory in hindsight with Wolf than I did at the time of actually watching it. Pi wins for now, but enough negativity has made me question whether I liked it for the correct reasons.
I'd easily go Wolf of Wall Street...
