Wonder Woman vs. The Man from U.N.C.L.E.

The Man from U.N.C.L.E. awed me with its quality and airtight storytelling that overcomes the eyerolling towards the purported cult of brilliance that seems to follow Guy Ritchie. I think I just liked the story and characters more in U.N.C.L.E. possibly because of my lack of familiarity with the TV series despite falling asleep to reruns every now and again. This is a case where the things that bothered me about Wonder Woman (mostly the leaning on the ingenue storyline and somehow making such a powerful character at sometimes look helpless in a way that I hate to see a female character portrayed) are actually enough to put it behind another film. I really don't think it's fair that I see the flaws that I do in Wonder Woman, and in the grand scheme, my opinion matters not, but I can't give it a win over a movie I loved start-to-finish. Instead of saying ladies first, I will say "U.N.C.L.E."
