King Kong vs. Terminator 2: Judgment Day

Toward the end of King Kong, I actually had to pause the movie repeatedly in order to recompose myself. I'm glad I didn't see it at the theatre, because I probably would've lost it in front of everybody. The scenes with Naomi Watts and Kong truly wreaked havoc on my emotions. The rest of the movie mostly sucked, but at least they got some of it right. Terminator 2: Judgment Day, on the other hand, failed to make me feel much of anything aside from irritation. Some people might get choked up when Arnold self-terminates, but not me. Linda Hamilton and Edward Furlong played one of the most annoying mother/son teams I've ever seen. Arnold prolonged their lives in the movie, which wasn't a good thing.

I really liked Terminator 2 but King Kong is more fun to watch.

King Kong is the movie that once made me say "I want to be a movie director someday". It's a very important movie to me.

King Kong managed to make a computer-animated monkey look alive. This alone justifies a win over T2.

I fell asleep by watching King King,.. twice.

I love Kong. Even if it is at least half an hour too long. Even then, I love everything in it. It definitely tugs at the heartstrings more. But T2, even after it's slipped a bit in my estimation since the last time I saw it, still holds a special place in my movie-loving heart.

King Kong was an unexpectedly great flick (especially on cinema), but it's almost nothing compared to the genius (for its time) of T2.

Kong is terminated.

Battle of the Bad Dudes. Going with Terminator 2 on this one.

Both were good movies but I would rather watch a movie about killer robots bent on destroying humanity then giant apes terrorising a single city. So T2 wins hands down!
