I'll be damned,turns out 1955 was a good year in film
Yes it was, but I have to pick Lady and the Tramp. I'm a huge Marilyn Monroe fan and The Seven Year Itch is one of her best, but the things that made it so racy in 1955 seem slightly naive now. Lady and the Tramp by comparison is a more timeless work. I work at a media store and when it was re-released a few months ago on blu-ray it held its own against all of the action-packed computer-generated animated flicks next to it on the shelf. On a more sentimental note, I also grew up with the film so I have a lot of good childhood memories tied to it.
