Two of my favorite movies this year.

I loved both movies, but somehow the DESCENDANTS has really stayed with me. It's funny and clever as MIDNIGHT, yet also quite sad in a profound way.

Both some of the best of the year but Midnight in Paris is much better.

I agree with Jeremy. The more I think about The Descendants, the more I feel that it's slightly mediocre. I originally gave it 4/5 stars, but I'm not so sure now. Midnight in Paris has done something similar but not to the same degree.

The Descendants, despite its cliched story, was actually really good - it was at once funny and sad. Midnight in Paris was lots of fun, but pretty light and easy. The Descendants wins.

Midnight in Paris.
I like The Descendadnts a lot more than Midnight in Paris. Woody Allen doesn't really do it for me, well most of the time.
