Avatar has the better distant planet but I would choose to watch Starship Troopers just about every time.

Starship troopers is definitely more fun--even as it parodies traditional and modern wartime propaganda in the US. You wanna live forever?
I stick up for Avatar all the time, but I'm a Starship Troopers fan, through and through. Satire, violence, Bugs, and Johnny Fucking Rico.

Sure Avatar has better effects, but Starship Troopers has a better story.
Starship Troopers is just plain-ol' fashioned satirical fun at its finest.

Avatar gets too much hate on here (and the internet in general) but I do have to say the Starship Troopers is a MUCH better movie.

Starship Troopers is kind of success of a battle combat, Avatar isn't simple for me.
Avatar deserves better than this. It is far more acclaimed and doesn't deserve the backlash. Starship Troopers was good fun but Avatar was clearly a better film.

Starship Troopers just crushes Avatar. Avaturd as it's known didn't even have a script did it?
