This is really difficult one. Both are defining movies in their genres. The Godfather was a defining movie in the maffia/crime movies, but Unforgiven reinvented the almost dead american western. I'm giving it to Unforgiven, but only by a tiny margin.

unforgiven is great but it cant win the godfather

The Godfather wins here, but just barely. They're both classics.
