I must disagree. The Lone Ranger failed to be funny, failed to be exciting and I hated the old Tonto flashback structure. Man of Steel was probably half irritating, but it did have a few decent things going for it. I liked how they handled the Lois Lane/Superman relationship, and the villains were adequately villainous enough. The fight scenes weren't too bad. The biggest problem with The Lone Ranger is that the title character wasn't believably heroic. At least Man of Steel got that right.

Gotta go with Lone Ranger on this one. The Old Tonto structure may have been stupid, but it was no less than the entirety of Man of Steel.
I'm in the minority since I really enjoy both. Man of Steel wins by just a little.
Both of these movies are so bad that they actually hurt.
