Two Great but very different Boxing films! Million Dollar Baby is the better film with a great director but I love Jakes Performance in Southpaw a lot also Damn Clint was great in Million Dollar Baby too!

Million Dollar Baby is the better film but Southpaw is worth watching.

Both are incredible yet depressing boxing films. Southpaw might've felt more cliche but it makes up for it with Jake's performance, which is better than Hilary's performance but not by much. Edge goes to Southpaw, sure maybe the story and dialogue weren't very in-depth but it's still a great popcorn flick that is very emotional.
