Attack the Block vs. Hot Fuzz

While Attack the Block is a worthy debut for Joe Cornish and an excellent balance between good, low-budget film-making, effective (if limited) action/sci-fi and a balanced, socially aware approach to its depiction of British working classes and youth, Hot Fuzz gets better every time I see it, and is slowly rising to become one of my favourite comedy films of all time. Hot Fuzz wins.

Hot Fuzz is fun, but it doesn't quite have enough plot or laughs to fill its two hours. Attack the Block has no lulls at all, so that's my winner.
