The scene where Erika Eleniak emerges from the cake in Under Siege is one of the most memorable erotic movie moments from my younger days. Sure, Before the Devil Knows You're Dead has Marisa Tomei and her well-preserved nakedness, but that doesn't have anywhere near the same impact. Also, Under Siege is a pretty good action flick, while Before the Devil isn't all that distinctive as a thriller or crime movie, or whatever it is.

Under Siege was good but Before the Devil Knows You're Dead has the fine acting and a deeper conflict than just another crime flick.
