There is almost nothing that will beat Alien.

House was good but it's also horribly depressing and just a feel-bad movie. Alien, I wouldn't exactly call "feel-good" butt compared to House, it kinda is.
*But
Devil's Rejects was better than House and Rejects was only just decent. Alien all the way.

Everything about House of 1000 Corpses stands above Alien. The editing, the performances, the writing and everything else in House of 1000 Corpses blows Alien out of the water! ;)

Alien easily beats House of 1000 Corpses. Zombie had not fine tuned his directing yet and Corpses is a little all over the place. Alien is one of the most suspenseful film experiences ever. I still get knots in my stomach every time I watch it.
