I found both of these to be amazing and I can't really think of anything from either that I could use as an excuse to vote one over the other. Pilgrim used way more from the comic book than I ever expected could be possible?
Pilgrim crushes Synecdoche. I know what Kaufman was trying to do, but it just didn't translate for me. Pilgrim wore out it's welcome a bit, but it still an incredibly unique and fun film....

My #1 (Scott Pilgrim) and #2 (Synecdoche). It's like my brain gets to go to Disneyland when I watch either of these, they're both masterpieces.

OOOH it's so hard. I love Wright's visual style in Scott, and the whole thing blew me away really, so despite Synecdoche's brilliance, I'll go with Scott...
