probably the first time Pixar has done a short film that's actually better than the movie that follows

They were both underwhelming, but at least "Cars 2" had some of the most amazing animation sequences in history.

I really don't think Cars 2 was that bad. I actually enjoyed it, even though it was inferior to the other Pixars. Still, I think Hawaiian Vacation was hilarious, and further proof that Pixar's shorts can be just as good, and even better sometimes than their feature length films.
