Proyas' direction is excellent in both. Choosing the '40s-inspired noir of Dark City over the Tim Burton-inspired gothic design of The Crow.
Dark City all the way. It's one of the most overlooked and underrated movies of our time and a personal favorite of mine.

both are so good.But personally i like films that get straight to the point as the crow does.The crow wins

Definitely Dark City, it has a better plot and it has aged well. The Crow only had a nice soundtrack, some decent visuals and a good performance from Brandon Lee. I'd give a 7 meanwhile Dark City is a solid 8/10.
