Ratatouille is the winner here because of the writing, music, sound design and the ending. Although don't get me wrong The Lion King is amazing. It's got an amazing instrumental score, great songs and beautiful animation.

I love Ratatouille's creative ideas and crazy fun storyline. Peter O'Toole absolutely crushes it as Anton Ego (among other actors). The Lion King, however, has maintained an absolutely special place in my heart when it comes to animation and music in film. I notice more things about it as I see it as an adult, and feel more drawn to various aspects to it I hadn't as a kid. Rafiki stole the show on my most recent rewatch. Again, I love Ratatouille, but I also think there are other better Pixar films, so The Lion King wins here.
