Click: The Calendar Girl Killer is a strange flick. It's about a transvestite serial killer, but most of the killing takes place toward the end. The rest of the time there's just lots of scenes of models being photographed with weaponry. Even a chainsaw. It's all quite incredible. Check to the Queen is one of those mellow 60s movies where pretty people luxuriate set to a haunting Euro-soundtrack. Haydée Politoff, who is a wonderful actress/ornament, plays a woman who enjoys being the slave of a rich chick. There are are some odd fantasy scenes here and there. Really, these are two exceptional motion pictures. Check to the Queen just benefits from having a better fashion sense and more visual style. Even though not much happens.
