Mach 2 is a really standard plane hi-jacking movie. It starts out like a fun, cheesy action flick and then just settles in to mediocrity. There aren't even any notable villains who get their asses kicked or anything. Probably the only significance the movie has is that Shannon Whirry is in it, but this is one of her films where she doesn't take her clothes off. I can appreciate that she wanted to become a more serious actress. I just wish she had a more memorable role in this. Bug is kind of lame. It does stand out more in my mind than Mach 2 ever will, however. In my universe of favorite actresses, I guess Ashley Judd ranks a bit higher than Whirry. You know, because Judd is more of an actual actress. Whirry is hotter, though.
